Shivangi holds a MS and BS in Chemical Engineering and is presently undertaking her PhD in Environment and Sustainability. She possesses approximately 10 years of education. Her current study focuses on the adsorption of per- and polyfluoroalkyl compounds (PFAS) from wastewater, reflecting her overarching interest in sustainability and environmental protection.

 

Her research and industrial experience encompass over five years and is extensive and diverse, including Thermochemical Treatment of Biomass, Wastewater Treatment, Renewable Energy, Biofuels, Sustainability, Biodegradable Plastics, Waste Reduction, and Innovative Waste-to-Energy Solutions.

 

Shivangi is adept in employing several laboratory instruments, such as Gas Chromatography, FTIR, UV-Vis spectroscopy, Bomb Calorimeter, and Thermal Gravimetric analysis. She has also worked alongside with the Saskatchewan Waste Reduction Hub on a community-engaged project.

 

Furthermore, Shivangi has been involved in volunteer and leadership positions, including her role as a Climate Change Representative at school. Her research has been published in esteemed publications, with studies on the thermochemical conversion of waste biomass, sustainability, and biofuels, which have garnered extensive citations.
